An Oasis in Bangkok

Have you ever juiced enough pomegranates to make a full cup of juice? Or have you slaved away in front of a juice press with a couple dozen tangerines with the hope of enough juice to quench your thirst after the extensive juicing workout? If you are like us, you’ve probably done it a couple times and decided NEVER AGAIN! For all our readers and followers out there who are headed to Bangkok or are just thinking about it, there are fresh squeezed juice hawker stands scattered throughout the city! Seriously, they're everywhere.  Just when you think you're going to die of heat stroke, boom, there is a juice stand to save you.

After braving the BTS (train system) and making your way around town on foot amidst the impressive heat of Bangkok, the bottled street juice stands are like an oasis within this concrete jungle. The pomegranate juice has that perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the tangerine juice is silky, semi sweet, and usually served at that perfect just before freezing temperature. At around 35 baht per bottle (about $1USD) the fresh squeezed bottles of juice are a lifesaver, and the men and women who press all that juice daily are our heros.
