Airbnb: Seattle Houseboat
Sometimes it's nice to know people in towns that you're visiting. This is definitely one of those times. My good friend Jen had recently begun the property management of a sweet houseboat on Lake Union and she generously let us stay there during our time in Seattle. Given my propensity towards sea sickness I was a little nervous at first, but by day two I had my sea legs and things were smooth sailing.
The boat was awesome and we have a great vantage point for the Duck Dodge, the weekly boat "race" on Lake Union. Mostly it's a beer league race with hundred of sail boats and people dressed in costume and BBQing as they float around the lake. The week we were there was Star Wars themed. Very cool.
