Bacon and Butter, Sacramento
The day after a long drive from Paso Robles to visit family in Sacramento, California we were still exhausted from preparing for our three week road trip. Sacramento, is stop number two on our west coast voyage. Spending time with family is always a good thing, but even the prospect of enjoying a Sunday brunch at ‘Bacon and Butter’ made the miles fall right off.
Just thinking about all the components individually in this biscuit sandwich makes my mouth water, but put them all together, and the result is a Sunday morning worth waking up to. Bacon, caramelized onion, cheddar cheese "skirt", chive mascarpone, an egg, all on a homemade biscuit, ummm, yeah, delicious. The wait was long, but totally worth it. Next time Bacon and Butter will be a destination, not just a pit stop.
